- Organize the collection of resources into a user friendly searchable collection that will allow visitors to easily find what they are looking for.
- Drastically improve Search Engine Optimization on the archival collection.
- Give BC Labour Heritage a modern look, feel and voice that represents the organization and is responsive to all device sizes.
- E-commerce integration bringing the small merchandise shop into the website and allow for simpler integration.
Website objectives:
- Accessibility: Provide clear, easy access to BC Labour Heritage Centre’s collection, information and adhere to accessibility standards.
- Advanced Search & Filtering: A robust search indexing system will enable users to locate information efficiently, both on the site and through search engines, enhancing resource accessibility and highlighting archival collections
- Focused Landing Pages: Landing pages will be designed as welcoming entry points, guiding users through clear calls to action and providing a smooth, logical flow through the site.
- Custom Templating: Tailored templates for key content sections to maintain visual consistency and simplify content creation and content updating.
- E-commerce: Bring the e-commerce store into the website for one stop shopping, keeping visitors on the site and creating a much simpler experience both for the client as well as the customer.
- SEO and Visibility: Implement SEO strategies to enhance the website’s visibility on search engines, making it easier for users to find BC Labour Heritage Centre’s collections and archival materials online.
- Adaptability: Design the website with scalability in mind, enabling easy updates and additions as BC Labour Heritage Centre’s collection of archival material continues to grow and evolve.
